Kelowna Charities & Non-Profit Organizations
The expression “It feels good to give” – really is just that….it DOES feel GOOD to GIVE.
One our annual goals and initiatives we have at Nyrose and Associates is to give back to our amazing community. We do this with donating our time and our money. We have been and still are big supporters of Habitat for Humanity, KGH Foundation, Kelowna Gospel Mission, The Foundry and JoeAnna’s House.
Read below for our team’s Top Picks for the FAVOURITE CHARITIES in Kelowna.
DARCY: I am a big supporter of JoeAnna’s House – it is bringing a much-needed facility to Kelowna that will impact many lives.
DARREN: My choice is The Foundry, we lost our brother Dean to Suicide 24 years ago and there was very little support at that time. The Foundry provides a great resource for those with mental health issues.
JENNIFER: My choice for best charity is East Meets West. An organization that helps children both locally and in India. They put on an amazing Diwali dinner every year as a fundraiser.
KATELYN: My favourite charity is CRIS Adaptive Adventures. CRIS is a unique non-profit that uses adaptive equipment to enable those with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors.
DANNY: My personal choice is The Kelowna Food Bank, my daughter is very interested in it and has done some fundraising for it and I know that it truly helps so many in need.
CHRISTINA: My pick is The Kelowna SPCA , because I love animals and love that there are people out there that can help animals in need!
KRISTIE: My pick for favourite charity is Mamas for Mamas. They have made an amazing impact on our local community and have done so much good for so many mamas out there!
JENNY: I choose The Foundry – They help young people access Mental Health services that they may not otherwise have access too. Having an organization that emphasizes so much awareness of Youth Mental Health and they are such a great addition to our caring community.
Are you looking to make a difference in our community? The simple answer is, if you have the money and not the time, give to a charity; while if you have time and not as much money, choose to volunteer.
