Meet Rob Chapman
Rob is a stand-up, down-to-earth kind of guy. He loves getting to know people and is a great conversationalist. But don’t worry, he’s not the type to do all the talking. He is a great listener; he has an empathetic ear and is available with advice when you need it. He’s the guy you want as a friend or a neighbour.
Rob and his wife made the move to Kelowna, from Calgary, namely for the opportunity to enjoy their free time on the hiking trails and golf courses, and in the local winery tasting rooms. And of course, for the weather!
Working With People
Rob has always enjoyed working with people. As a Business Finance Manager in Calgary, he was responsible for building relationships with his sales team and clients. Rob’s communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills helped him achieve success.
While still in Calgary, Rob fostered his interest in real estate & home ownership and achieved success as a Mortgage Broker. One of the key aspects in real estate is being able to afford a specific property. The expertise and knowledge he learned as a Mortgage Broker gives him an edge. He can think outside-of-the-box, problem solve, and help lead his clients to find successful solutions for home ownership.
With post-secondary schooling in Project Management, Rob has the knowledge and tools to put all the various pieces together in order to best help his clients.
Making the Move
Rob grew up in Cochrane, AB with the Nyrose brothers and they remained good friends all these years. Having vacationed in Kelowna several times, he and his wife were drawn to the area. Coupled with a burgeoning interest in real estate, it was time to head west. A transition to REALTOR (from sales manager and mortgage broker) was natural. After all, this is a guy who loves talking about homes, the economy, and market conditions.
Rob became a licensed REALTOR and joined Nyrose & Associates, Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty. A team player, he values learning and sharing ideas with his colleagues. With a background in customer service, sales and working with people, his clients regularly praise his work as a REALTOR. Trustworthy. Available. Good Listener. Supportive. Helpful. Patient. Positive. Calming. They’re all words used by Rob’s clients when describing their experience.
Rob fully believes that real estate does not discriminate and it gives everyone that fair shot at success. This idea is true for himself; he loves that he can control his own career advancement. It’s also true in how he helps and approaches his clients and any situations they might come up against. He works hard and is determined to ensure his clients have the opportunity for home ownership, and real estate advancement. It’s also why Rob loves working with first-time home buyers and those moving to Kelowna from out-of-town.

As a social guy, Rob understands the importance of building lasting relationships (and that can be seen through his long-lasting friendship with the Nyrose brothers. How many of us are still best friends with our childhood neighbours?).
