The spring market has started a bit early with more homes hitting the market. Plus, why will townhomes win this year? And, is the new short term rental legislation already affecting the numbers?
Condo inventory, sales numbers and sold pricing is up over last month. Sales are down considerably over March of 2023. With the short term rental ban (announced in October 2023) taking force May 1, we expect to continue to see more listings (especially from short term rental investors) hitting the market.
Darcy predicts townhomes will be the category that 'wins' in 2024. We're seeing an increase in active listings, sales and pricing over this time last year (and last month).
