The Two Most Important Things to Bring When Viewing Homes
- An Open Mind
One of the most important things you can bring when going to look at homes is an open mind. Once you get past how the current owner has decorated or staged the home, you can begin to imagine how your life would fit within the walls and the property. Once you look past furniture placement, home decor and paint colour you begin to see a home's full potential.
- Your Buyers' Checklist

Having a reference point to remind you of your real estate goals can help ground you throughout the process. Having a house hunting checklist can help keep you focused on the elements of the home, rather than just the emotions that come when you really love (or don't love) one element in the home.You might not find a home that meets everything on your checklist, but we can use this as a starting point to prioritize what you can live with, and live without. Of course, it's also good to remember this is your checklist and you have the right to change your mind at any point in time when you simply feel that a home is the one. In fact, we find that as we take buyers through homes, it's common that their wish list ends up changing.
