In this month's Kelowna Real Estate Market Report, Kelowna Realtor Darcy Nyrose recaps the current real estate market and what happened in November 2023. With incoming proposed changes to short term rental bylaws and regulations, we're already seeing some impact on the condo market. Kelowna has several buildings and areas currently zoned allowing short-term rentals. Some owners have already put their homes on the market pre-emptively as their investment may not see positive cashflow without the ability for short-term rentals, or they don't want to be a landlord with longer term leases. In addition, condo buyers who don't need to purchase immediately may be waiting to see what happens with condo inventory if more condos hit the market.
